Reflections on Bow Lake Jasper and Banff National Park Canada Alberta

Location: Jasper National Park. Alberta. Canada

Bow Lake is one of the big lakes located along Icefields Parkway, in Jasper National Park, Canada. This glacier lake is located in the heart of the Canadian Rockies, at an elevation of 1920 metres! (6300 ft)

Like Peyto Lake, it has an incredible turquoise color, caused by the large amount of glacier rock particles suspended in the water. These particles flow from the glaciers during summer and give the water that unique turquoise color.

In sunny days, when there is no wind, the crystal clear water in combination with that blueish colour provokes amazing reflections on the water.
